Shoshana and Family
When my son's preschool flagged him as sensory-seeking, we had the immense good fortune of seeking Occupational Therapy from Andrea. Andrea's child-led, neurodivergent-affirming approach built immediate trust with our three-year-old, who was later identified as Autistic with a PDA profile. I loved Andrea immediately too, and began to look forward to our sessions as much as my son did. In fact, learning from Andrea started the journey that would end with me discovering my own Autistic identity! Andrea later supported me in learning my own sensory profile, and helping me to find regulation practices that work for my body. Andrea's work with our child and family was nothing less than transformative. I can't - and do not want to - imagine our life without her.

Amelia and Family
Andrea has been such an important part of our lives since she became our daughters’ occupational therapist years ago. She has guided our intense, ultra-high energy, multiple diagnoses kids through so many hard-won milestones, learning to swim, tie shoes, ride a bike. She has also supported them through much longer and more difficult journeys-becoming comfortable with big feelings; finding ways to be respectful of others and to set boundaries; figuring out how to create goals for themselves and also to come to terms with imperfect results. Andrea has built an amazing level of trust with our kids, so they are able to let their guards down and try new strategies that she suggests even when it is new and uncomfortable. Andrea has been a calm, kind, creative and knowledgeable teacher, healthcare provider, mentor and example not just for them but for my husband and me. She advised us on creating the scaffolding our kids needed to grow into their best selves and be ready to take on more day-to-day responsibilities for themselves. We are so grateful we found our way to Andrea and cannot recommend her highly enough.
Emmett and Family
We began seeing Andrea in 2021 when my son was 4 years old. We didn’t know what was going on, only that he was less physical than his peers and didn't seem comfortable in his own body. Andrea was able to very quickly diagnose our son with vestibular and proprioceptive deficits as well as sensory issues, and created a timeline of objectives and goals.
Additionally, she provided us with printouts of realistic things we could do at home to supplement the work they were doing together, and was always accessible for advice and suggestions when we had questions. My son quickly bonded with her, so much so that when she moved to a different practice, we followed her.
We saw Andrea nearly weekly over the course of the next three years. Initially, we saw small improvements, like the shift from preferring to scramble around on all fours to walking, then larger changes, like his ability to go down slides at the playground, run with his friends, and race around on his scooter.
Throughout all of this, Andrea continued to teach Emmett how to advocate for himself, how to employ coping skills when he was overwhelmed, and there’s no limit to what he’s capable of.
Last year, we finally got to a point where we agreed he didn’t need occupational therapy anymore. It was both a relief, to know that my son now had the ability to engage with life at a level equal to his peers, and a loss. We had been seeing Andrea for so long, she had become a crucial part of my son’s care team, a confidant for me to express complex emotions regarding my son’s disability, and his loudest cheerleader. Even now, six months since our last appointment, he asks to see Andrea regularly.
I truly don't know where we would be if we hadn’t found Andrea. She showed us that his disabilities were nothing to be afraid of, and convinced us that he could have a normal, healthy childhood with them. She showed him that there was nothing wrong with him, that he is amazing exactly how he is, and that it's okay to get help when things are tricky. We are forever indebted to her.
